About

Hi, we’re Accessibility by Mugs Studio

We’re the accessibility practice of Mugs Studio, a Melbourne design studio. The person you talk to is the person who tests your service.

Meet Mugs

Mugs Krish

Mugs is a UX and service designer. He has designed accessible services used by thousands of people, including a housing repair service for more than 50,000 residents and a portal for a high-sensitivity health service.

With a background in front-end development, he writes fixes developers can act on, and explains them so everyone else can follow.

Plain language

An accessible service is one nobody gets stuck in.

The idea behind every test we run.

What we believe

Four things we care about

Accessibility is service quality

It decides whether people can use what you built.

People with disability are the experts

Testing finds barriers. It doesn’t replace hearing from the people who meet them.

Small teams deserve great help too

A council with two web staff should get the same quality of advice as a large department.

Fixes should outlast the report

We’d rather your team learns to catch issues than keep paying us to find them.

How we work

What you can count on

Fixed scope and price, agreed in writing before we start

Real testing with assistive technology, never a scan alone

Plain-language reports your whole team can use

One point of contact, from first chat to final walkthrough

Talk to the person who does the work

No pressure and no jargon. Just a friendly chat about your service.
